Another road accident claim lives of couple in Karachi

In another tragic incident, a speeding car collided with a motorcycle near Karachi’s Karsaz area, killing a husband and wife on the spot.

The victims, identified as Ayaz and Aqsa, were residents of Allahwala Town and were returning home from work.

According to rescue officials, Aqsa was a school teacher in North Karachi, while Ayaz worked in a factory.

Their bodies were shifted to Jinnah Hospital for further legal procedures.

Following the accident, enraged citizens attempted to attack the car’s driver.

However, police intervened, detaining the driver and shifting him to the police station for legal action.

Earlier this week, a pregnant woman, her child, and her husband succumbed to their injuries after a speeding water tanker collided with their motorcycle under the Malir Halt Bridge in Karachi, police reported.

According to police officials, the accident occurred due to an apparent brake failure, causing the tanker to lose control as it came from the highway onto Shahrah-e-Faisal.

The family was crushed on the spot, leading to their instant death.

The media reports suggested that the man was taking his pregnant wife to the hospital for delivery when the fatal crash occurred.

Police have arrested the driver and taken the water tanker into custody as investigations continue.
