A recent development has emerged in which security forces have rescued 190 passengers and eliminated 30 terrorists in an ongoing operation following a deadly attack on the Jaffar Express traveling from Quetta to Peshawar in Bolan.
According to security sources, the militants are using suicide bombers as human shields, forcing the forces to proceed with extreme caution.
The terrorists have reportedly positioned suicide bombers next to the hostages, with the attackers wearing explosive vests.
Earlier, officials confirmed that among the 107 initially rescued passengers, 58 were men, 31 were women, and 15 were children. Seventeen injured individuals have been shifted to the hospital for medical treatment.
The operation remains underway as security personnel work to neutralize the remaining threats and ensure the safe evacuation of all passengers.
