The city is expected to experience hot weather today, with temperatures ranging between 36°C and 39°C, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

On Monday, Karachi recorded a maximum temperature of 39.1°C. Humidity levels are currently 40 percent, with light winds blowing from the northeast.

The PMD has forecast a slight drop in temperatures from tomorrow (Wednesday), with expected highs of 33°C to 35°C.

A significant change in weather conditions is anticipated from March 12, as sea breezes are set to return, providing relief from the heat.

A day earlier, the weather department predicted that the ongoing heatwave spell is expected to continue for the next two days, with temperatures soaring up to 38-40°C.

Despite the heat, the sea breeze is likely to persist, providing some relief with gentle wind speeds. However, according to the Met Office, temperatures are expected to decrease after March 12 as wind speeds increase gradually.

While Karachi has been experiencing rising temperatures, weather officials assure that there is no forecast of rainfall during this period.
