Karachi plans special traffic measures to ease congestion during Ramadan peak hours

Karachi traffic plan

The Karachi administration has devised a comprehensive traffic management plan to ease congestion, especially during Iftar hours in Ramazan.

In a meeting chaired by Commissioner Syed Hasan Naqvi, officials reviewed strategies to improve traffic flow.

DIG Traffic Peer Muhammad Shah announced that special traffic police staff would be deployed from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm to regulate traffic on busy roads.

Help desks will also be set up in markets to manage the expected Eid shopping rush.

Deputy commissioners were instructed to collaborate with market associations to streamline parking and traffic arrangements.

Authorities also ordered the reopening of basement parking areas in major shopping centers like Imtiaz Supermarket (Rashid Minhas Road) and Chase Up Value (Kashmir Road), previously used as warehouses.

The administration assured that strict measures would be taken to ensure smooth traffic flow throughout the holy month.
