Karachi Dumper Accident

A 19-year-old motorcyclist, Shakir Ali, lost his life after being hit by a speeding dumper near Karsaz on Shahrah-e-Faisal.

As per rescue officials, the injured teenager was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

The authorities at the hospital, handed over the body to his family.

Following a rise in fatal accidents involving heavy vehicles, the Sindh government has banned the entry of dumpers into Karachi during the daytime.

Under the new rule, dumpers can only enter the city between 11:00 PM and 6:00 AM to reduce road accidents and ease traffic congestion.

Traffic police have responded by issuing 34,655 challans, arresting 490 drivers, and canceling 532 vehicle fitness certificates.

A four-member committee has been formed to investigate accident causes and recommend road safety improvements. The committee will review the fitness certificates of heavy vehicles and check driver licenses.
