Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced plans to hold a rally at Minar-e-Pakistan on February 8.
The party has submitted an application to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Lahore for permission to organize the event.
The application, filed by PTI members Alia Hamza, Malik Ahmed Bhachar, and Ijaz Buttar, requests approval for a peaceful rally in accordance with Article 16 of the Constitution, which guarantees the right to rally.
However, the media sources suggest that if permission for the rally is denied, PTI will stage nationwide protests.
Additionally, PTI’s founder has declared February 8 as a Black Day, directing party members in National and Provincial Assemblies to protest in their local areas.
