Residents of some selected countries can enjoy visa-free entry to Sweden, while travelers from Pakistan must secure a short-term Schengen visa to explore the rich history, nature, and culture of the European country.

The Swedish Embassy deals in Schengen visa applications for Pakistani and Afghan citizens and other people legally residing in Pakistan.

Required Documents:

  • Completed visa application form
  • Passport (issued within the last ten years),
  • Recent passport-sized photograph
  • Fingerprints (unless previously registered in the Visa Information System).

Bank Statement Requirements for Pakistani Applicants

As of January 2025, the applicants from Pakistan have to attach a bank statement, a minimum daily requirement of 450 SEK, which amounts to roughly 13,500 SEK or around Rs 3,50,000 for a month’s stay.

Proof of enough financial means to cover expenses during the stay in Sweden is one of the crucial requirements for Pakistanis and travelers from other countries.

The financial proof of the applicant guarantees that the traveler can bear the cost of the trip without financial strain.
