Thailand warns of blacklisting Pakistani passengers on fake documents

Travelers from Pakistan planning to visit Thailand on an e-visa might get in trouble if the embassy finds the attached documents are fake.

The Royal Thai Consulate General in Karachi issued a public announcement, informing the E-visa applicants to ensure that all the uploaded documents including air ticket and hotel reservations are genuine.

The statement further warned that if any of the uploaded documents turned out to be fake or forged the visa will not be considered, also the agent or passenger can be blacklisted.

After receiving a complaint from the American consulate the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) – Anti-human trafficking Karachi chapter – conducted an operation in Karachi and arrested the two individuals trying to obtain a US visa over fake documents.

As per the details, the two individuals – identified as Raza Hashim Alvi and Ameer Hamza – were arrested from outside the American consulate in Karachi.

The accused Raza Hashim submitted fake reports at the American consulate to obtain a medical visa, later, the report was sent to Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital where the hospital, which confirmed that the reports were forged.

The authorities after an initial investigation revealed that the accused possesses an intermediate degree and wants to travel to the US for the sake of a better future and employment.
