Saudi authorities have arrested ten Pakistani nationals in connection with a series of fraud cases involving fake gold bars.
According to Saudi media outlet, the suspects are accused of tricking victims into buying counterfeit gold, resulting in financial losses of over 2.8 million riyals.
The fraudsters used a tactic where they initially showed real gold bars to gain trust. However, they later handed over fake gold-like coins, convincing victims they were purchasing genuine gold at illegal prices.
The group carried out 31 fraudulent operations before they were caught.
After a thorough investigation, the suspects were arrested and have been referred to the Public Prosecution for further inquiry and prosecution.
