SSP Korangi directs SHO’s to closely monitor usage of NADRA data

Sindh Police is reportedly misusing the sensitive information of citizens received from the National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA).

According to media reports, the police personnel and operators accessing these systems in various districts are failing to maintain confidentiality of the information.

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh has received multiple complaints regarding the misuse of sensitive data, including NADRA Verisys, Family Tree, and Call Data Records (CDR).

In response, SSP Korangi issued a notification, directing all the Station House Officers (SHOs) of district Korangi to closely monitor the usage of data from NADRA in their respective areas.

Failure to comply with these confidentiality requirements will lead to strict departmental action against those responsible.

The IGP’s office is closely overseeing the situation to prevent further breaches of confidentiality and ensure the integrity of this critical data.
