The authorities failed to control the security situation in Karachi as a total of 12 citizens were gunned down while 60 others were injured in the first 12 days of 2025.
As per the details, the 12 citizens – two women and 10 men – were killed in firing incidents which occurred due to several incidents including resistance during a robbery, personal enmity, and some blind bullets.
A citizen named Asif was killed for resisting a robbery near Link Road – Ghaghar Phatak, Karachi, similarly, in Korangi No. 3 Madina Colony, a youth named Sahil was killed for resisting.
Meanwhile, in Korangi Zia Colony, unknown persons shot and killed 23-year-old Arif, in Super Highway Sabzi Mandi, a person named Akhtar was killed, in Baldia Town No 5, 25-year-old Mehr-un-Nisa was killed in a shooting.
