The police have announced a traffic plan for Youm-e-wiladat Hazrat Ali (RA) procession in Karachi, which will take place on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 4:00 PM.
The procession will begin from the Ghafoor chamber – Abdullah Haroon Road and will conclude at Mehfil Shah Khorasan – Near Numaish Chorangi.
Due to security concerns, MA Jinnah Road, from Tibet Center to Gurumandir Chowk, along with roads from surrounding areas, will remain closed during the procession.
In order to manage traffic disruptions in the affected area, the traffic police have provided alternative routes for commuters:
Citizens using Bahadur Yar Jang Road:
To travel from Gurumandir to the tower, the commuters are advised to use Soldier Bazaar No. 1 Signal, Coast Guard, and Uncle Saria Signal routes.
From Shahrah-e-Quaideen to Numaish Chowrangi MA Jinnah Road:
Drivers should use Society Light Signal and proceed via Ayesha Aziz Chowrangi to PPP Chowrangi, or from Society Light Signal, head towards Khudadad Colony Bridge to Empress Market.
For travel from Fresco Chowk to Namiash Chowrangi:
Commuters should take the Eidgah Chowk (Dilpasand) route, proceeding left via Dakkhana to Jubilee to Nishtar Road or from Tibet Center to Regal Chowk.
From Fawara Chowk to Garden Nishtar Road:
The drivers are suggested to take the route from Paradise Signal to the left for the Passport Office and Empress Market to the right.
For travel from Aga Khan to Zainab Market (Abdullah Haroon Road):
Commuters should head from Garden Baghicha to Aga Khan Road, using Uncle Saria and Gul Plaza routes to Tibet Chowk.
The public is advised to use alternative routes, such as New MA Jinnah Road (Saddar Dawakhana to PPP Chowrangi), Nishtar Road to Garden Baghicha to Lasbela, and Bahadur Yar Jang Road (Guru Mandir to Soldier Bazaar No.1 Signal to Uncle Saria).
