Tajikistan launches visa service from Karachi

Tajikistan has inaugurated a visa section at its Consulate General in Karachi, marking a significant milestone in the bilateral relations between the two countries.

As per media reports, the Consulate General has been upgraded to full-fledged status and is now processing visas for Pakistani citizens wishing to visit Tajikistan.

Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori formally launched the visa service during a ceremony, which was attended by Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Sharifzoda Yusuf Toir, and other diplomatic staff.

Initially, a visa consular has been appointed in Karachi, with plans to add more staff as the volume of visa applications increases.

In his address at the inauguration, Governor Kamran Khan Tessori emphasized that the new service will make it easier for Pakistani nationals to obtain Tajik visas, thus promoting tourism and the exchange of delegations between the two countries.

He congratulated Ambassador Sharifzoda Yusuf Toir for this important step, calling it a major achievement in strengthening Pak-Tajik relations.

Tessori also highlighted the shared commitment of both countries to the prosperity and development of the region.
