Pakistan unveils complete domestic cricket schedule for 2025

Pakistan domestic cricket schedule 2025

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revealed the full schedule for the men’s domestic cricket tournaments of 2025.

The year will feature three major first-class tournaments, including the ongoing President’s Trophy Grade-I. Alongside red-ball cricket, the focus will also be on white-ball events, with one 50-over List-A tournament, three T20 competitions, and a non-first-class three-day tournament.

In addition to senior events, development cricket will undergo exciting changes with the introduction of the U15 and U17 tournaments, along with the Champions U19 One-Day Cup and Three-Day Trophy, which will provide a clear pathway for young cricketers to progress in their careers.

A total of 21 tournaments are scheduled for the year, comprising 131 first-class, 37 List-A, and 119 T20 matches.

Additionally, the domestic structure also includes club, school, college, and university competitions, generating over 10,000 matches across the country.

These grassroots initiatives aim to create more opportunities for emerging talent.

The 18-team National T20 Cup will take place in March, providing a platform for players from 16 regions to showcase their skills across Pakistan.

The President’s Trophy Grade-II, a non-first-class three-day departmental tournament, will be held in April and May.

Following this, the Pakistan Super League season 10 will capture attention in the same months, before the senior domestic season pauses for a three-month break to accommodate fitness camps across the regions.

In the latter half of the year, the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and the Champions Cup will take center stage in September and October.

These premier first-class events offer players an opportunity to impress selectors for a place in the Pakistan Test side.

The 50-over President’s Cup Grade-I will be played in November and December, while the second edition of the Champions T20 Cup wraps up the year in December.

On the age-group front, the PCB has revamped the U13 and U16 categories, reintroducing them as U15 and U17 divisions.

These age groups will compete in one-day and multi-day tournaments, offering young players a better chance to develop their skills.

The National U19 Cup will be contested in September, with top U19 players progressing to regional academies for the Champions U19 Cup and Trophy later in the year.

The district, school, and collegiate tournaments will continue as usual, helping to identify and nurture Pakistan’s cricketing talent at all levels.

The PCB’s domestic cricket calendar for 2025 promises a thrilling and competitive season, fostering growth for both senior and emerging cricketers.
