Following the first winter rain of 2025, Karachi’s weather is set to become colder as frosty winds from Quetta are expected to hit the metropolis, starting from Saturday [January 04].
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts that Karachi will feel chillier during the day starting from today.
The weather report recorded at 12.5°C last night, with over the next four to five days, temperatures are expected to drop to 6-8°C at night.
Currently, Karachi is experiencing cold and dry weather with a humidity level of 53 percent and winds blowing at 10 kilometers per hour from the north.

Earlier to this, the cold weather which gripped Karachi for days is expected to deepen from January 04, as predicted by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
Despite some decrease in prevailing cold weather, the PMD hinted that the temperature in Karachi is likely to drop to one digit after January 04.
Currently, the PMD recorded a minimum temperature of 13.5 degrees Celsius in the metropolis while the humidity levels are at 58 percent.
It is worth mentioning here that Karachi has witnessed the temperatures drop to single digits multiple times already in the past month, with mercury recorded at 9.1°C and 9.5°C in the port city.
