Mayor reviews renovation work at Karachi's National Stadium

Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab visited the National Stadium, where he was received by senior officials from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

During his visit, he was briefed on the ongoing preparations for the Champions Trophy 2025, including the construction and development work at the stadium.

Expressing excitement for the event, Wahab emphasized Karachi’s love for cricket and the eagerness of its people to witness the Champions Trophy matches.

He assured that full preparations were underway at the National Stadium to host the event, which will be scheduled to return Karachi after 2017.

Wahab also highlighted the city’s warm hospitality and commitment to providing all necessary local government facilities to ensure the smooth organization of the tournament.

He further stated that Karachi would be beautifully decorated for the occasion, and the citizens would offer a warm welcome to the international cricket teams.

Reflecting on the significance of the event, Wahab shared that he had recently held the Champions Trophy at the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) office, expressing his belief that Pakistan would win this time.

He reassured the public that all steps would be taken to ensure their comfort during the tournament.
