The Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC) has issued a warning to citizens about the use of gas compressors which leads to drop in pressure, leaving surrounding areas without gas supply.
In a recent announcement, SSGC stated that anyone caught using a gas compressor could face up to six months in jail and a fine of Rs 100,000 under the Gas (Theft Control and Recovery) Act.
The company is urging its customers to report any instances of illegal compressor use in their neighborhoods.
Citizens can report violations by calling the 24/7 Call Centre at 1199, helping the company take legal action against offenders.
