Thailand is set to introduce an online visa service for Pakistani citizens planning to tour the country next year.

With the introduction of this new service, the applicants will be able to submit their documents via the online portal, eliminating the need for in-person submissions at the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Karachi.

As per the official Royal Thai Consulate-General notification, online payment is not yet available for the applicants in Pakistan, visa fees must be paid at the consulate located at Karachi’s plots no. 151, main Khayaban-e-Hafiz, Phase 6, D.H.A.

Once the e-Visa application is approved, applicants will receive a confirmation email, meanwhile, it is essential to print and present this confirmation to the airline at the departure port and Thai immigration authorities upon arrival in Thailand.

The new e-Visa platform – set to take effect from January 1, 2025 – will be accessible at https://www.thaievisa.go.th/ for Pakistani and foreign nationals residing in Sindh and Balochistan.

The Consulate will continue accepting in-person applications until December 24, 2024.
