Sindh’s Minister for Education, Syed Sardar Ali Shah, has directed private schools to relax uniform codes in response to the harsh winter, prioritizing the well-being of students while ensuring their education continues uninterrupted.
Following the Minister’s instructions, the Directorate of Inspections and Registration of Private Institutions in Sindh issued a directive to private schools, advising them to allow students to wear warm clothing, such as sweaters, blazers, coats, jackets, caps, socks, and shoes, during cold weather.
The circular also highlights the importance of safeguarding children’s health by taking all necessary measures to protect them from the cold, both through flexible dress codes.
The Education Department encourages schools to cooperate in these measures to promote students’ health and comfort during the winter season.
Earlier in the day, Sindh government announced the winter vacation schedule for the public and private educational institutions in the province.
As per the official notification, all the educational institutes in the province will observe vacations from 21 December till 31 December 2024.
