The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) foiled a drug smuggling bid by intercepting a parcel at the General Post Office (GPO) located at I.I. Chundrigar Road, Karachi.
During the operation, ANF officials recovered 3.8 kilograms of ice, cleverly absorbed into children’s clothing within the parcel.
The parcel was booked by a resident of Peshawar and was destined for New Zealand.
An ANF spokesperson confirmed that the parcel has been seized, and efforts are underway to apprehend the individuals involved in the smuggling operation.
Earlier in the day, police claimed to have arrested a gang involved in robbing vehicles from the citizens in Karachi.
As per the details, the Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) Orangi and Gulistan-e-Johar division conducted an operation and arrested a six-member gang involved in lifting vehicles.
The police officials asserted to have recovered two vehicles from the possession of the arrested individuals – identified as Furqan Ali, Ghulam Asghar, Ajab Gul, Meraj Hussain, Mansoor Khan and Yar Muhammad.
The police officials further stated that the raids were being conducted to arrest the suspects’ accomplices and recover more vehicles.
