The Sindh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, has achieved a major milestone with the launch of the Karachi Marble City project.
The $100 million venture, established under a public-private partnership, aims to create a dedicated industrial zone for marble and stone manufacturing, driving economic growth and generating employment opportunities.
At a signing ceremony held at the Chief Minister’s House, an agreement was finalized between the Sindh Economic Zones Management Company and Kainat & Hasas Construction.
Speaking at the event, CM Murad Ali Shah noted the project’s transformative potential, stressing its role in boosting Sindh’s economy by fostering trade and creating jobs.
He reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthening the industrial sector through such initiatives.
The Karachi Marble City project is strategically located with seamless connectivity to Karachi Port, the airport, and major highways, enhancing its importance for local and international trade.

The development is expected to generate 10,000 jobs for the people of Sindh, providing a significant boost to the regional economy.
To ensure safety for workers and investors, the project will include a 24-hour surveillance and emergency management system.
Special Assistant Qasim Naveed Qamar briefed the Chief Minister on the project’s timeline, stating that construction is scheduled for completion within two years, with allotments set to begin in August 2025.
Addressing past delays, CM Shah emphasized the importance of adhering to the new schedule, underscoring the need for efficiency in implementation.
The event was attended by key government officials, including Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah and Secretary Industries Yasin Shar, as well as private sector representatives.
