The Oscar-winning composer and singer AR Rahman has shared his feelings following the announcement of his divorce from his wife, Saira Banu.
In an emotional post on social media platform X, Rahman expressed his sorrow, writing, “We had hoped to reach grand thirty, but all things, it seems, carry an unseen end.”
He reflected on the heartbreak, stating, “Even the throne of God might tremble at the weight of broken hearts, Yet in this shattering, we seek meaning, though the pieces may not find their place again.”
In his X post, Rahman thanked friends, family, and colleagues for respecting the couple’s privacy during this challenging time, saying, “Thank you for your kindness and for respecting our privacy as we walked through this fragile chapter.”
It is worth mentioning here that Saira Banu, through her lawyer Vandana Shah, cited emotional stress as the reason for the separation.
As per Indian media reports, despite their enduring love, unresolved tensions had created an unbridgeable gap in their relationship.
Banu appealed to the public for understanding and privacy, calling the decision deeply painful. The couple, who married in 1995, share three children.
