As many as 12 security personnel embraced martyrdom in a suicide attack on a check post in Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as per ISPR news release.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), militants attacked a security check post in Mali Khel, Bannu, leading to a fierce exchange of fire in which six militants were killed.
The attackers used a vehicle loaded with explosives, ramming it into a building wall, causing a devastating suicide blast.
The explosion martyred 12 personnel, including 10 security forces personnel and 2 from the Frontier Corps (FC), while also damaging the infrastructure of the check post.
ISPR stated that a clearance operation is underway in the area to eliminate any remaining threats, including potential foreign militants.
