‘Afghan robbers’ linked to Anti-Pakistan videos arrested in Karachi

Sindh police claimed to have arrested three Afghan robbers involved in producing videos against Pakistan and Karachi Police.

As per the details, Shah Latif Police conducted a raid and arrested three Afghan nationals, for their alleged involvement in a series of robberies in Karachi, and were found to have created and shared anti-Pakistan and anti-police videos.

According to SSP Malir Kashif Abbasi, these suspects, long wanted by Karachi Police, were apprehended from a hotel in Sector 22.

The suspects, identified as Fazal, Qasim, and Azam, had been involved in several criminal activities, including a high-profile robbery of Rs 3.7 million at Hafiz sweets and other crimes in Malir’s South and East areas.

SSP Abbasi reported that incriminating videos were found on the suspects’ mobile phones, showing strong anti-police sentiments.

In one video, the suspects dressed a fellow robber in a police uniform and simulated the torture of a police officer.

In another, Afghan robber Qasim Khan made explicit anti-Pakistan statements and flaunted a Kalashnikov.

The trio also recorded videos of themselves dancing with handcuffs and brandishing weapons, displaying their rebelliousness against law enforcement.

Authorities have confirmed that Azam, one of the suspects, had previously been arrested for robbery and served jail time.

Further legal action is being taken against all three suspects.
