The government of Sindh on Monday directed to seal 176 petrol pumps for selling substandard and smuggled fuel across the province.
Following the directives, the Home Department of Sindh penned down a letter to the commissioners in Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpur Khas, Nawabshah, Sukkur, and Larkana in this regard.
The letter directed to take immediate action and sealed all the 176 pumps found involved in selling smuggled and substandard petrol in Sindh.
The Home Department in its directives instructed the commissioners to digitize all petrol stations in Sindh, to regulation and tracking of fuel quality and compliance.
The letter further stressed that, “No petrol pump will be allowed to sell smuggled fuel in the future”.
