The sale of government-issued books and copies meant for distribution in schools led to a police raid in Karachi’s Shah Latif Town area.
The police spokesperson disclosed that a large number of government-issued books and copies were recovered from a house during a raid, while two suspects were arrested.
The police found the staff – from the Sindh Textbook Board and the Sindh Education Department – involved in the illegal sale operation.
Following the raid and recovery of the items, a case has been registered at Shah Latif Town police station.
The registered case details that the suspects allegedly changed the covers of government-issued school books of 11 different subjects to sell them in local markets.
These educational materials, intended for students in government schools, were reportedly being sold to shopkeepers in Mehmoodabad, Malir, and Korangi.
