District South Karachi’s administration has sealed 14 shops for not having coronavirus vaccine certificates. The administration has imposed a fine of RS 22,000 on various shops and restaurants.
According to the details, the administration has also sealed 11 restaurants for violating Covid-19 SOPs in the District South locality and warned other shops to strictly follow the rules.
The administration has imposed a fine of Rs22,000 as well and those who do not wear masks will also be charged Rs1500.
The Assistant Commissioner Civil Line also inquired the shops and checked the certificates at various shops and restaurants in Clifton and Defense, which led two shops got sealed.
Several shops and a petrol pump have charged Rs11000 in Lyari while Rs9000 charged in Garden.
“The business community should strictly implement the Corona SOPs. No one should be allowed to enter markets, restaurants, shopping malls, wedding halls and cinemas without vaccination,” DC South said.
City has observed the 11% coronavirus positivity rate in a recent statistic which is quite alarming as the thousands of people have been vaccinated.
