The Drug Regulatory Authority on Tuesday carried out a raid at Karachi’s katchi gali medicine market to discover that medicines meant to be used at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) were being sold there.
During the rade, samples of medicines stamped with the NICVD emblem were found and confiscated.
The NICVD spokesperson, however, claims that the stamp found on the medicines at the market differs from the hospital’s actual seal. He further said that this was done to defame the hospital and that no employee has been found to be involved in any such activity.
