A Karachi-based media worker named Fahim Mughal committed suicide due to unemployment and economic hardships.
The police said journalist Mughal was let go from a local newspaper a few months ago. After being fired from the company, the deceased took out a bank loan worth Rs60,000 and started driving a rickshaw to meet the expenses of his family.
But with rising inflation and increasing petrol prices as he was unable to pay off his debt and feed his family.
Desperate for help, Mughal had posted on his social media hoping to find a job through digital channels, but to no avail.
He is survived by a widow and six children.
