Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) announced that the annual examination will be starting from July 26, right after Eid ul Azha.
Talking to the media, the BIEK chairman Dr. Saeeduddin said that they could not conduct the examination last year amid pandemic but this year, the board decided to conduct annual examination following coronavirus SOPs.
More than 155,000 students will appear in the intermediate exams for which 210 examination centers have been established, he added.
Pre-medical and pre-engineering students will be appearing in the exam.
Concerning the cheating in examination centers, he said that 66 examination centers have been declared sensitive and warned students to refrain any illegal activity to indulge in cheating else they will be dealt with severe punishment.
Earlier in matriculation exams, massive mismanagement was observed in the centers, to prevent any such situation, the BIEK issued special measurements for the sensitive centers.
