The Sharea Faisal bridge in Karachi’s Baloch Colony was the site of an armed confrontation between dacoits and security personnel, according to CCTV footage.
An armed gunfight broke out between a group of dacoits and security personnel after they surrounded a customer who had just withdrawn money from a bank.
The incident’s CCTV footage was obtained by ARY News. It demonstrated how panicked people fled after hearing gunshots close to the Baloch Colony bridge. Additionally, it showed armed robbers attempting to flee while a security guard moved up to block the road.
The security guards who rushed there were fired upon by the dacoits, the police told the media. One of the dacoits was instantly killed by retaliatory fire, but his companion was able to escape the scene.
After being shot, a security guard also suffered injuries. According to the police, the dead dacoit had weapons and a motorcycle in his possession, and raids are being carried out to apprehend his accomplice.
An alleged dacoit was shot dead by a Karachi resident yesterday in Orangi Town.
The incident happened in the Orangi Town Number 4 neighbourhood when robbers on motorcycles attempted to rob people who were waiting outside a house. The dacoits used gunfire as they attempted to flee the scene, according to the police, injuring a passerby as well.
According to the police, a civilian killed one of the dacoits with a gun that was legally owned. Dacoit was shot dead there and then, but his two companions managed to escape.
