The students in Pakistan and other countries planning to further study in the United Kingdom (UK) are likely to face a financial setback as the British government announces an update on the fee structure.

According to the recent decision, the British government has announced a tuition fee increase for universities, effective April 2025.

Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson confirmed that tuition fees will be adjusted in line with inflation, with fees rising from £9,500 to £9,795 – a £295 increase in annual fees.

This decision has raised concerns among students, including those from the University of Leeds, who believe the hike could disproportionately impact students from low-income backgrounds.
