Two schools in Karachi, namely British School and Kinderland School, had their registrations suspended by the Education Department for failing to comply with the Anti-polio campaign.
The Sindh health and education departments had decided to run a campaign in Karachi which would target students of private schools and administer anti-polio vaccines to them.
The Director-General of the private schools said he had received complaints regarding non-cooperation and had accordingly suspended registration of schools. Additionally, notices to 40 other schools have also been sent regarding their lack of cooperation with the team.
However, the official of All Sindh Private Schools and Colleges Association have rejected these claims.
The drive which aims to administer anti-polio vaccines to children under 5 started on 10th February and will be carried out till 16th February.
