Pakistan’s first indigenous electric car unveiled on 75th Independence Day

On Independence Day, Pakistan revealed its first locally produced electric vehicle on Sunday at a ceremony in Karachi.

The Dice Foundation, academic institutions, and the corporate sector worked together to create the NUR-E 75 prototype car, and reservations for the general public are anticipated to begin in late 2024.

The innovative feature-packed battery pack for the car was created by the NED University of Engineering and Technology.

The chargers for these vehicles were made by Sir Syed University of Engineering, according to reports, which also stated that work was being done to create quicker chargers to help shorten charging times.

At a speed of 120 kmph, the electric car will be able to go 210 kilometres.
