The Commissioner Office Karachi Division has officially allowed 14 temporary cattle markets across the city for Eid-ul-Azha 2025 to facilitate the citizens.
According to the notification issued by the Commissioner’s Office, this decision follows recommendations by the Deputy Commissioners, KMC, TMCs, and other relevant bodies.
The approved markets aim to provide citizens regulated access to sacrificial animals without causing disruption in the city.

Each permitted market must strictly follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), which include:
- Traffic Management: Ensure no obstruction on nearby roads.
- Sanitation & Hygiene: Immediate removal of animal waste, proper disposal systems.
- Security Measures: Prevent unauthorized access and ensure public safety.
- Noise & Odor Control: Minimize nuisance for nearby residents.
- Designated Parking: Spaces for traders, buyers, and visitors to reduce congestion.
- The Commissioner emphasized continuous enforcement and proactive management at all locations. Any negligence may lead to administrative action.
He emphasized that the decision was made to prevent traffic disruption, garbage buildup, and public inconvenience caused by unregulated markets.
