A tragic incident was reported in the Surjani Town area on Wednesday, where a minor girl was allegedly raped and murdered. As per the report by ARY News, the police discovered the victim’s body in a manhole in the vicinity.
It was learned that the six-year-old girl had gone missing from her house in Surjani Town on Tuesday. The following day, her lifeless body was found in a manhole located near her residence. The police officials initially labeled the death as an ‘accident’ and proceeded to transport the victim’s body to a hospital for a medico-legal process. However, during the examination, the police surgeon confirmed that the girl had been sexually assaulted before she was brutally murdered.
The victim’s family is devastated by the tragedy and has demanded that the rapist-cum-murderer be immediately apprehended. Meanwhile, an FIR has been registered against unidentified individuals for their alleged involvement in the crime.
