A proposal has been made to change the grading system at the matric and inter levels across the country.

The reforms include the implementation of a new 10-point grading system, with passing marks increasing from 33% to 40%.

It has also been suggested that the F grade should be replaced with U as the unsatisfactory grade.

Another suggestion is that A Plus grade should be added from 96 to 100% to shorten the gap that exists between A and A One grade.
