Dubai Municipality has opened registration for its ‘Future Talents’ scholarship programme, aimed at supporting Emirati university students studying scientific disciplines that are in high demand in the job market.

The initiative is designed to develop the skills and abilities of talented UAE nationals while supporting the Emiratisation policy in the Emirate of Dubai.
Programme to Support Emirati Students
Aisha Al Hammadi, Director of the Human Resources Department at Dubai Municipality, said the programme reflects the directives of the UAE’s leadership to support Emiratisation and provide promising opportunities for Emirati students.
She said the initiative seeks to attract talented Emirati students, strengthen their academic knowledge and provide practical experience that can help prepare them for future challenges.
The scholarship programme focuses on academic disciplines that are directly linked to Dubai Municipality’s areas of work, helping build a sustainable and specialised workforce for the future.
Eligible Fields of Study
Students studying a range of scientific and technical disciplines are encouraged to apply. These include:
- Civil and architectural engineering
- Agricultural engineering and agricultural sciences
- Public health
- Environmental sciences
- Sustainability and environmental health
- Food security
- Information systems, including data science and business solutions
- Information technology, including application development, networking and cloud computing
- Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet several requirements to qualify for the Future Talents scholarship programme.
Candidates must be UAE citizens and enrolled in their third or fourth academic year in one of the eligible fields of study.
They must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and cannot be receiving more than one scholarship at the same time.
Male applicants are also required to have completed their national service.
Through the programme, Dubai Municipality aims to help talented Emirati students gain academic and practical experience while preparing them for specialised careers within the municipality and other areas of the workforce.
The initiative is part of the municipality’s wider efforts to develop skilled national talent, strengthen workforce sustainability and support the UAE’s long-term Emiratisation objectives.
