According to Sachal police station SHO Aurangzeb Khattak, Sahiwal-based trader Saif-ur-Rehman had arrived at the cattle market a day earlier with the animal.

Police said one of the suspects approached the trader on the pretext of giving the bull water and took it away from the market. The suspect later claimed that the animal had fallen sick and said he would take it to a doctor for treatment.

Instead, the suspect allegedly fled with the bull and later sold it to a butcher in Liaquatabad for Rs70,000, according to police.

Following a complaint from the cattle market administration, police launched an investigation and traced the stolen animal to Liaquatabad.
