A video of the incident went viral on social media, in which the accused, identified as Badshah, appeared before the SHC in connection with an attempted murder case registered at Memon Goth police station.

After the court rejected his bail petition, Badshah reportedly tried to flee from the court premises.

The case’s Investigation Officer, Shoaib Baloch, managed to catch the suspect inside the court premises and took him into custody.

However, the accused’s family members allegedly intervened and attempted to free him from police custody.

During the ensuing situation, the suspect’s defence counsel arrived and allegedly slapped the IO several times. The lawyer also reportedly assaulted a plainclothes police officer who was assisting the IO at the scene.

The confrontation caused confusion inside the court premises, during which the accused managed to break away from police custody and escape.

The incident raised concerns over security and the handling of suspects inside the SHC premises. Further legal or departmental action against those involved was not immediately detailed in the report.
