According to the Met Office, Karachi is likely to receive rain from the evening or night of September 13, with showers expected to continue through September 16.

Other areas of Sindh, including Larkana, Jacobabad, Mirpurkhas, Tharparkar, Umerkot, Thatta and Badin, are also expected to receive rain during the same period.

The weather department said thunderstorms, strong winds and rain are also likely in parts of the upper regions of the country as monsoon currents continue to penetrate the upper parts of Pakistan.

The PMD further said a westerly weather system is expected to enter the upper parts of the country, which could contribute to unsettled weather conditions over the coming days.
