The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced a new appointment-booking facility through the Pak ID mobile app, allowing citizens to schedule visits to NADRA offices without waiting in long queues.

Under the new facility, citizens can book an appointment from home, select their preferred NADRA office and choose a convenient time. They can then visit the selected office shortly before their appointment and access the required services without waiting for their turn in the regular queue.
NADRA has recently released an updated version of the Pak ID app with several new features covering digital identity and citizen services.
According to NADRA Public Information Officer (PIO) Syed Shabahat Ali, the updated application allows citizens to submit complaints to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) online, correct family records, upload signatures and access digital identity documents, among other services.
The appointment-booking facility is part of NADRA’s broader effort to expand digital services and reduce the need for citizens to spend extended periods waiting at its offices.
How to book a NADRA appointment through Pak ID app
The new facility allows citizens to arrange their NADRA office visit in advance through the Pak ID mobile application.
Users can select their preferred office and available appointment time before visiting the facility. The service is aimed at reducing waiting times and making NADRA services more convenient for citizens.
Earlier to this, the NADRA has introduced a new QR code-based National Identity Card (CNIC) that is developed and manufactured in Pakistan, marking a major step towards reducing reliance on imported technology.
The new identity card replaces the existing chip-free Smart National Identity Card with a secure QR code-based verification system.
The new CNIC is manufactured locally using polycarbonate material and features a secure QR code instead of the imported microchip used in earlier smart cards.
