Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has rejected Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi’s proposal regarding the creation of new provinces, saying the people of Sindh would not accept such a move.

Speaking to the media, Murad Ali Shah said he was unclear about the direction of Naqvi’s statement on new provinces.
“I don’t know what Mohsin Naqvi’s statement was pointing towards. There is a PML-N government in the centre, maybe the indication is towards that,” he said.
The Sindh chief minister described the idea of creating new provinces as an “old and recycled idea” that had already been debated in the past.
Commenting on the country’s political situation, the chief minister said boycotting elections was not a solution to political problems.
He said elections were the only way forward for resolving political issues and emphasized the importance of young people in the country’s future.
“The youth are the future of this country and all of us. They are not cockroaches,” Murad Ali Shah said.
Speaking about Kashmir, the Sindh chief minister said PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had conveyed a message to Kashmiris that he was continuing to fight for their rights.
Murad Ali Shah urged Kashmiri people to support Bilawal Bhutto, saying the Pakistan Peoples Party had historically maintained its position on Kashmir.
“The PPP bears its losses but does not compromise on the rights of Kashmir,” he said, recalling former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s longstanding emphasis on the Kashmir issue.

The Sindh chief minister also addressed the Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway corruption case, claiming that the amount involved had been recovered by the Sindh government.
He did not provide further details about the recovery during his media interaction.
Earlier, Murad Ali Shah attended the Urs of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai and paid his respects at the revered Sufi poet’s shrine.

“It is my good fortune that I paid respects at the shrine on the Urs. Sindh is the land of Sufis,” he said.
The chief minister’s remarks came amid renewed political discussion over administrative restructuring and the possibility of creating additional provinces in Pakistan.
