A judicial commission investigating the murder of young entrepreneur Mir Raza Ali has issued written orders regarding its previous proceedings and summoned senior police officials and other witnesses for the next hearing.

The commission has summoned Gulistan-e-Jauhar Station House Officer (SHO) Kamran Qureshi and Head Moharrir Zeeshan to appear at 11:00am on September 7.
They have been directed to record their statements, submit affidavits and present relevant case records. The commission also directed SHO Adeel Afzal, Raziq and Haitham to appear at the next hearing.
During the previous proceedings, the commission recorded the statement of online taxi driver Ehsanullah, who had provided information about his ride with Mir Raza and assisted the victim’s family during their search.
The commission expressed concern over Ehsanullah’s situation, observing that he appeared to be facing consequences despite assisting the victim’s family.
“Ehsanullah appears to be facing punishment for helping,” the commission observed in its written order.
It instructed the investigating officer to assist Ehsanullah in restoring his livelihood and securing alternative accommodation.
Meanwhile, Mir Raza’s business partner Ahmed Bharde received a notice from the Sindh Board of Revenue directing him to provide receipts relating to payments received through online food delivery company.
According to the written order, Ahmed had assured the commission that he would submit a copy of the notice along with the relevant payment receipts.
The commission is examining financial records and business dealings as part of its broader inquiry into the circumstances surrounding Raza’s disappearance and death.
Due to a shortage of time during the previous hearing, the commission directed Haitham, Raziq and SHO Adeel Afzal to appear at the next proceedings.
The Judicial Commission will reconvene on September 7 at 11:00am.
Earlier to this, the judicial commission investigating the death of Mir Raza held its third hearing at the Sindh High Court on Thursday in Karachi, questioning his business partners, an online taxi driver and police officials about the circumstances surrounding his disappearance and death.

Raza’s father, sister and business associates attended the proceedings, while several police officers were also summoned to record their statements before the commission.
The commission, headed by Sindh High Court Justice Omar Sial, first questioned Raza’s business partner Muhammad Ahmed about his relationship with the deceased and their business dealings.
