Silver prices in Karachi increased sharply on Friday, with 24-karat silver rising Rs. 180 per tola to Rs. 7,509, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APSGJA).
The increase came a day after silver gained Rs. 50 per tola to reach Rs. 7,329 on Thursday.

Friday’s rise extended the metal’s recent upward movement in the local market.
The price of 24-karat silver also increased by Rs. 154 per 10 grams to Rs. 6,437.

- 24-karat silver per tola: Rs. 7,509 up Rs. 180
- 24-karat silver per 10 grams: Rs. 6,437 up Rs. 154
The advance was backed by a firmer global backdrop, with the international silver price per ounce climbing $1.80 to $70.30, extending its recent strength and supporting Karachi silver prices today.
The latest increase came despite gold prices remaining unchanged in the domestic market. International silver prices also remained a key factor influencing local bullion rates.
Silver market outlook
Silver has maintained a firmer tone in the local market, gaining Rs. 50 per tola on Thursday before adding another Rs. 180 on Friday.
The latest move puts the metal above the key Rs. 7,500-per-tola level.
