Earlier, the Supreme Court ordered authorities to immediately shift Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital for medical treatment.

Justice Shahid Waheed directed jail authorities to facilitate the transfer and ruled that Dr Faisal Sultan and Dr Uzma Khan would accompany Imran Khan during his hospital stay.

A three-member full bench headed by Justice Shahid Waheed, comprising Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim, was hearing petitions concerning Imran Khan’s medical treatment and meetings with his family members.

The court also directed jail authorities to arrange weekly meetings between Imran Khan and his family, while ordering that he remain hospitalized until the next hearing.

The federal government objected to the decision to shift Imran Khan to hospital, arguing that authorities had not been given prior notice by the court.

The Supreme Court incorporated the government’s objections into its official order.

The court also directed PTI to ensure that no rallies or gatherings are held outside the hospital during Imran Khan’s stay.
