From Clifton to Gulistan-e-Johar and North Nazimabad, public celebrations are scheduled to continue into the night on Thursday, August 13, with fireworks and live performances forming the main attractions.

Bagh Ibn-e-Qasim:

A major public celebration will be held at Bagh Ibn-e-Qasim in Clifton, where residents can join an Independence Day musical evening followed by fireworks, as announced by Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab.

The event is scheduled to begin at 10:30pm and entry is free for all, making it an option for families looking for a public celebration.

Governor House:

Celebrations at the Governor House are scheduled from 10pm onwards. The venue is expected to host Independence Day festivities and fireworks as the city moves towards midnight and August 14.

Naya Nazimabad:

A grand Independence Day celebration is scheduled at Naya Nazimabad Gymkhana from 8pm on August 13.

The programme will feature fireworks and a musical concert, with performances by Aima Baig, Ali Gul Mallah, Alycia Dias, Farah Hashmi, Ayat Sheikh, Asghar Khooso, Ghaniya Siddiqi, Saif Ali Khan and Rao Shahwaiz.

Rehmania Park, Gulistan-e-Johar:

Residents of Gulistan-e-Johar can head to Rehmania Park, Block 7, where family entertainment and fireworks are planned from 10pm.

The event is aimed at providing a family-oriented Independence Day celebration for residents in the surrounding areas.

Five Star Chowrangi, North Nazimabad:

At Five Star Chowrangi, MQM Pakistan is scheduled to hold an Independence Day celebration featuring fireworks at midnight.

The midnight fireworks will mark the transition into August 14, Pakistan’s Independence Day.

Power House Chorangi, North Karachi:

In North Karachi, Jamaat-e-Islami has announced an Independence Day celebration at Power House Chowrangi, near Jamia Masjid-ul-Huda.

The programme is scheduled to begin at 11pm, with fireworks planned at midnight as the city welcomes August 14.
