The DNA identification process in the Mir Raza case has been completed at the Sindh Forensic DNA and Serology Department, with forensic authorities confirming that DNA obtained from the recovered body matches samples from Mir Raza’s parents.

According to officials, blood found on a flower pot recovered from the crime scene also matched the blood of the deceased – Mir Raza Ali.
The medical board has submitted its findings to the Sindh Police. The latest developments come as the third report emerges following the initial post-mortem examination in the Mir Raza case.
The newly formed investigation team, along with Mir Raza’s parents and their lawyer, Jibran Nasir, visited the area surrounding the location where the body was recovered.
Nasir said the family independently identified and showed police all key locations relevant to the case. He said the parents were fully cooperating with investigators and that the family was not withholding any information.
He added that samples obtained after the exhumation had been sent to the forensic laboratory. According to Nasir, the delay in submitting the samples came to light after the issue was highlighted by the media.
Mir Raza’s father, Mir Hussain, said that after 13 days, the family felt for the first time that the investigation was moving in the right direction.
Mir Raza Case Latest Updates
“If an effective investigation had been conducted during the initial days, the case would have been at a different stage today,” he said.
Hussain said investigators had yet to determine what exactly happened to Mir Raza. He added that the new investigation team was listening to the family’s concerns, which had increased their confidence in the probe.
The family, he said, would go to any extent necessary to seek justice and was itself trying to establish how the incident occurred.
Hussain said Mir Raza’s kitchen was located approximately half a kilometre from the site of the incident. He added that information about three suspected individuals had already been shared with police.
He also alleged that the previous investigation team had not shared details of the probe with the family.
Forensic Examination of Mir Raza’s Shirt
A forensic report concerning Mir Raza’s shirt has been forwarded to the investigation team, according to media reports.
The reports indicated that the two separate forensic analyses of the shirt were conducted. The first examination focused on gunshot residue (GSR).
Investigators claimed that GSR was detected around the waist area of the shirt, with a higher concentration in that section.
According to the reports, the finding could indicate that the gunshot was fired from the rear or waist area, although the forensic evidence will need to be assessed alongside other investigative findings.

Hydrochloric acid was also reportedly detected on different parts of the shirt, investigative sources said.
The traces indicating the presence of a sedative or incapacitating drug were detected in Mir Raza’s blood, the reports added.
The forensic report was prepared by the Sindh Forensic DNA and Serology Department.
