Investigators probing the death of young businessman Mir Raza Ali have obtained his mobile data records and forensic material as authorities continue to determine his death.

Police have so far not reached a final conclusion and are examining multiple pieces of evidence, including mobile records, CCTV footage, witness statements and medical reports.
According to investigation officials, Mir Raza contacted a friend on the night of July 28 and reportedly requested a loan of Rs30 million (Rs3 crore).
Officials said Mir Raza told his friend that he was facing serious financial difficulties and urgently needed money.

Investigators said his mobile data records indicate that he may have been under significant financial pressure and could have owed money to several people.
The financial information is being examined as one aspect of the investigation, but officials have not established that financial difficulties were the cause of his death.
Fiancée’s Messages
Investigators also reviewed communications involving Mir Raza before his death.
According to officials, his fiancée sent him repeated messages between approximately 3:10am and 3:50am, but he did not respond.
Authorities are examining his mobile data and communication records to establish his movements, contacts and activities during the hours before his death.
Police detains 18 individuals in Mir Raza Case
Police have detained 18 individuals for questioning in connection with the mysterious death of young trader Mir Raza Ali, whose body was recovered from bushes near Shahi Qila in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, opposite the University of Karachi.
Mir Raza Ali’s body, bearing a gunshot wound to the chest, was found two days after he went missing. Investigators are continuing their probe to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
According to police officials, all individuals taken into custody had remained under surveillance since the initial stages of the investigation. Authorities are recording their statements separately as part of the ongoing inquiry.

Officials confirmed that six of the detainees are linked to the guest house that has emerged as part of the investigation, while five others are close friends of Mir Raza Ali.
Police have also summoned Mir Raza Ali’s business partner to record his statement as investigators continue examining all possible leads and angles in the case.
Officials said that 13 individuals will be formally questioned during the current phase of the investigation, while detailed statements are expected to be recorded from five key individuals.
Investigators are reviewing evidence, including statements from suspects and witnesses, to establish the facts behind Mir Raza Ali’s death.
CCTV Shows Waste Picker Near Location
Investigators have also obtained CCTV footage from around 8:00am on July 29, according to officials.
The footage reportedly shows a waste picker carrying a bag near the location where the incident occurred. The individual allegedly remained in the area for several minutes before leaving.
Investigators are examining the possibility that the weapon may have been removed by this person.
However, this remains an investigative possibility and has not been established as fact.
Police are expected to examine the person’s identity, movements and any connection with the case before drawing conclusions.
Mir Raza’s body was found shortly after 11:00am on July 29.
According to the preliminary post-mortem assessment, the body was estimated to have been between 24 and 36 hours old when it was recovered.
Investigators are comparing the estimated time of death with CCTV footage, mobile records and witness accounts to establish a timeline of events.
Initial Forensic Findings Examined
Sources within the medico-legal team told media outlets that the initial post-mortem examination showed differences between the reported bullet entry and exit wounds.
According to these sources, the entry wound appeared larger while the exit wound was smaller. Photographs reportedly indicated that the bullet may have entered from the back and exited from the front.
The body was also reportedly swollen, while the face appeared severely damaged. Sources said a detailed examination would be required to determine the exact cause of the facial injuries.

Photographs reportedly showed the fingers of Mir Raza’s left hand clenched and holding grass. Suspicious marks were also reportedly observed on his right hand, while a wound was visible below the chin.
These findings remain subject to forensic and medical examination and should not be treated as proof of murder or suicide at this stage.

Investigators are now bringing together multiple strands of evidence, including mobile phone records, CCTV footage, forensic material, witness statements and medical reports.
The central question remains whether Mir Raza Ali Khan died by suicide or was killed.
Authorities have not yet announced a final determination or publicly established a confirmed motive.
The investigation is expected to continue as police examine the complete medical findings, trace individuals seen near the location and analyse Mir Raza’s communications and movements before his death.
