Syed Aminul Haque, Federal Minister for Information and Technology and Communication, announced on Thursday that Pakistan will launch 5G technology by July 2023.
The announcement was made by the minister while speaking at the UBIT Career Fest 2022, which was organised by the Department of Computer Science at the University of Karachi. He was invited as the chief guest.
The event was held at the UBIT Garden, and over 30 software companies attended to short-list candidates after tests and interviews.
In comparison to the other 43 ministries in Pakistan, the IT and telecommunication sector has seen the greatest increase in exports, with other ministries’ exports increasing by only 2% to 3%, while IT and telecommunication exports have increased by 100%.
